Harvest Fest 2025
Harvest Fest was on September 20, 2025; Edmonton’s Community League Day. This year we had special guests from the Oilers Entertainment Group who played hockey with youth from the community. Even Hunter was out on the new rink. They made sure to leave us with lots of goodies like handmade bracelets, temporary tattoos, and other Oilers swag. Special thanks to Rona for donating to the rink maintenance. This rink serves people from several communities including the youth that use our free rink program. It was nice to hear from our MLA David Shepherd as well as a treasured community member Henry
. Aside from hockey we had two large bouncy castles as well as delicious ice cream from White Rabbit Ice Cream. Special thanks to Norwood Dental for handing out treats for our teeth such as dental goody bags and information on finding a dentist in our community. It was nice to share a lunch prepared by our neighbors and board members of taco in a bag. We want to come back bigger and better next year. Be sure to check out the gallery for photos from the event.
Easter Celebration
It all begins with an idea.
Spring Fun at the Spruce Avenue Easter Celebration!
What an incredible turnout for our Easter Celebration at Spruce Avenue Community League! We were absolutely blown away by the number of families, neighbors, and students who came out to join the fun—so much so that all of our Easter eggs were scooped up within the first hour!
From the smiles at the face painting station to the giggles in the petting zoo, the joy was everywhere. Kids (and a few adults!) enjoyed golf cart rides around the grounds, and our local vendors brought amazing energy and community spirit to the day.
It was truly heartwarming to see our community come together—connecting with familiar faces and welcoming new ones. Events like this remind us why we love being part of Spruce Avenue.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported the event. We’re already looking forward to planning more gatherings to keep the community spirit going strong. Stay tuned!
